Dr. Brandin Gwinner

Optometrist

Dr. Brandin Gwinner is a newly registered optometrist in Alberta and British Columbia. She was born and raised right here in Drumheller. She went to pursue her undergraduate education starting at Red Deer College and finishing at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, where she received her Bachelor of Biological Science and Bachelor of Secondary Education. She completed her final teaching practicum at the local DVSS, where she once attended as a student. Dr. Gwinner achieved her Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry of Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California. She has returned to Drumheller to be closer to family and friends, and is excited to be back home to jumpstart her optometry career. She is known for being very outgoing, and loves traveling the world, exploring new food/drink, staying active, and socializing with new people. Dr. Gwinner provides comprehensive eye exams, diabetic and ocular health assessments, fittings for hard and soft contact lenses, emergency services, and referrals/co-management with ophthalmology for specialty services like cataract or laser refractive surgeries. New developments Dr. Gwinner is considering bringing to For Sight are anti-fatigue and/or myopia control contact lenses. 

Dr. Meagan Boehr

Optometrist

Dr. Meagan Boehr is a newly registered Optometrist in Alberta. She was born and raised in Calgary Alberta but is excited to start her new career and life here in Drumheller. She completed a Bachelor of Science with Honors majoring in Chemistry at the University of Calgary in 2018 and received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2023. In her free time you can find her hiking, trying new food/drinks and spending time with friends and family. She is looking forward to providing the Drumheller community with comprehensive and educational eye exams.

Tammy

Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA)

Tammy is originally from Hanna, AB but has called Drumheller home for over 30 years. She brings with her many years of office experience and has recently finished her course at becoming a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant which has helped her become more familiar with all aspects of Optometry. Tammy is eager to assist all patients, young and old, with any aspect of the office and enjoys seeing familiar faces from her hometown.

Amanda

Optometric Assistant

Amanda has been a part of the For Sight Vision Centre team since November 2015. She is involved in all aspects of the office including pretesting, contact lens fitting and lens selection. She also enjoys picking out the right frame to ensure the best new look for our patients. Amanda has had Lasik Eye Surgery and is a great advocate when considering having this procedure, she is happy to tell you about her experience. Her Friendly attitude and keen observations will make you feel right at home.

Haleigh

Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA)

Haleigh joined our office in July 2019. She originally came to Drumheller from Grande Cache at a young age, but has lived here in the Valley since. She enjoys being outdoors, hunting and hiking. You will often see Haleigh pre-testing patients for their eye exams, teaching contact lens classes or helping patients choose the perfect frame and lenses. After working at For Sight for a year and a half, Haleigh decided to further her education, and worked very hard to become a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA) to be able to better help all patients. She is excited to meet everyone that comes into our office and to assist with all your vision needs.

Mariel

Lab Technician

Mariel joined For Sight Vision Centre in February 2015, and has taken on the role of our Lab Technician, and enjoys all tasks of working in our lens lab. Mariel can also be found pretesting, to prepare you for your exam with one of our Optometrists.

Linda

Accountant

Linda has worked for For Sight Vision Centre for many years and has lived in Drumheller even longer. She is the accountant and is happy to assist customers.

Kayla

In Loving Memory

Kayla was the office manager, as well as a Canadian certified optometric assistant at For Sight Vision Centre for over 6 years, and showed tremendous endurance and strength to build this local optometry clinic to where it is today. She was taken far too soon at the young age of 29, but her charisma, charm, and dedication will always be remembered here at For Sight Vision.
